At Melissa Medina's presentation, I learned how a hardworking woman can accomplish great things. This presentation inspired me because I could relate to her family story as coming to the United States as immigrants and working towards the American Dream.
FIU Study Abroad Information Session
Through the study abroad information session, I became aware of the global opportunities FIU offers, such as being able to study abroad in multiple places. I am a strong believer that traveling expands our knowledge and perspectives of the world. Thank you FIU for all the opportunities!
EdgeLab Workshop
At this FIU EdgeLab workshop, I was able to learn how to 3D print, use hardware, and create designs. Through this, I was able to see some designs from FIU students and learn the entire process from start to finish of a product.
Center for Leadership and Service- Emani Jerome Presentation
Through Emani Jerome's presentation, I gained an understanding about the process of FIU StartUp. His presentation was very inspiring and expanded my knowledge of entrepreneurship. I became aware of the rigors of starting a business and how to never give up.
Careers in Federal Government Presentation
At FIU Career and Talent Development, I acquired knowledge of multiple job opportunities, such as a career in federal government. Additionally, I was informed about Handshake, where FIU students can have access to job offerings and recruiters can reach out to students. Thank you FIU!
